Analog x Sweet Collaboration Limited Edition Skateboard

Göteborg, SWE, 18 DEC 2007 Analog Clothing is very proud of presenting a unique collaboration with Sweet Skateboards that resulted in a limited skateboard produced in only 200 handnumbered copys. The graphic is a blend between Analogs Tygra-print taken from the upcoming spring/summer 08 collection and Sweet skateboards bold and poppy color palette. Analogs regional skateboarders in Sweden, Björn Holmenäs and Martin Pennlowe have been deeply involved in the graphic and layout of the board and Björn comments the project with these words:

“When Martin and I talked about the graphics we pretty quickly decided that we wanted poppy, light colors that Sweet stands for but with Analogs unique touch of design. We did also put some polarbears in there to play with my name that is Swedish for bear. There is also a few indians in the pattern to reflect Martins origin. Actually our faces is photoshopped in those pictures if you look close! The result is this pop-80s-cheesy-neon-indian-polarbear-tv-skate that I am superstoked on. I hope you like it.”

The board, who could be seen at Analog Open in Sweden this fall, is available at selected Analog and Sweet-dealers thru Sweden and the world.

Melbourne's finest Tattooists, Designers, Graffiti writers and all round good dudes showcased an exhibition of 80's influenced wearable art this week. Sponsored by Analog clothing, the exhibition was a massive warehouse event with over 500 people attending including Ali Boulala, Jake Duncombe, Beci Orpin and Misha (of Perks and Mini fame).

Start with a balmy summer night, throw in a crowd of skateboarders, snowboarders, SDS staff, industry crew, Sydney MC Malakai, Northern Beaches band The Painters, the two latest installments in Analog’s Moving Picture Project series and the support of Corona, Smirnoff and Redbull and the Pages Studio warehouse in Sydney’s Darlinghurst was definitely at the top of the short list of places to be for the Analog party on 30th November.

The Analog snow team killed it at the 15th edition of the Nokia Air & Style comp that was held in Munich, Germany over the weekend. Analog team rider Mikkel Bang, rookie winner from last year, stole the show in the first knock-out round of the top 16. His perfect switch backside 10 took out last year's champion Travis Rice. AG team riders Danny Davis and Heikki Sorsa also impressed judges with incredible scores. Danny got the second highest score in the first round with a double corked fs 1080. Unfortunately he was head to head with Kevin Pearce who got the top score and went on to win the event. Heikki got in to the second round with one foot frontside 3's however David Bendic beat him on his third run with a double corked fs 1080.

SAVE THE WAVE!

Munich, Germany is not exactly known as the best place on earth to find good waves, with the next ocean at least a 6 hour car ride away. However Munich can still call a thriving surf scene it's own. The Eisbach (Iceriver) in the center of Munich has a standing wave that over the last years has not only attracted local surfers but many others, stopping by to check out the unlikely surf spot.

The city of Munich is now contemplating to destroy the wave, after a few accidents involving swimmers nearby the wave, though neither surfers nor the wave has been directly involved.

BENJI WEATHERLEY'S 4th ANNUAL LITTLE HUMANS SURF CONTEST

Analog helped global team rider Benji Weatherley put on his 4th Annual Little Humans Surf Contest on Sunday down at D Street in Encinitas. About 80 kids signed up for the 4 different divisions- 15-17, 12-14, 11 & under and Girls Open. Gravis, Anon, Jones Soda, Nixon, Future Fins and OAM helped us with gift packs and contest prizes that included Analog surf packs, Gravis laptop bags, Anon sunglasses, Nixon watches, Future fins, OAM leashes and traction pads, Jones soda and finally, the grand prize-- a fully loaded, brand spanking new MacBook computer. A golden surfing monkey was also awarded to the winner of the contest so he'll be able to hold on to that for years to come. It was a super rad event and everyone had an amazing day in the sun just relaxing on the beach watching some of the best up and comers around!

Analog presented "Trouble in Japan" with Future Snowboarding magazine, Gravis, RE:UP magazine and Scion on Saturday night in San Diego. Hundreds of people came out to see our new Moving Picture Project featuring our super tight snow team including Danny Davis, Trevor Andrew, JP Solberg, Heikki Sorsa and Mikkel Bang. SOME CÄSH FOR YOUR TÄSCH

On the 15th September, famous Brixlegg Skatepark in Tirol, Austria, will see the first edition of Some Cäsh for your Täsch.

The contest is open to everybody that wants to enter and gives everybody to chance to put some cash in their pockets.

The session will move from obstacle to obstacle in the street area, the bowl and of course the cradle, where 100 x € 10 are up for grabs for the best trick.

After the contest everybody is invited to hang out at the park watch bands play and have a BBQ.

So if you are in Tirol on the September 15th make sure to come and party with the Analog and Cradle crew.

Analog partners up with Berkela Films to present the US Tour of the Bra Boys Documentary.
The film is about the cultural evolution of the inner-Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra and the social struggle of its youth-the tattoed and much maligned surf community known as the Bra Boys. The story is narrated by Australian actor Russell Crowe and is told through the eyes of members of the Bra Boys.

The movie just recently broken the record for highest grossing documentary in OZ and recently won "Best Documentary" at the Huntington Beach Film Festival during the US Open.

October 16th is the US release date for the DVD.

Last year the Sweet skateboard team went on a summer tour and it turned out to be a fun and successful one. So the decision to follow it up this year with a new one was not to hard.

Since two of the Sweet riders (Martin Pennlowe and Bjorn Holmenas) already skate for Analog it felt natural to ask if Analog felt like supporting the trip and help out with the organisation of competitions and so on.

Of course Analog were happy to help and the tour schedule was soon to be booked.
Our nice black van took us from Sweet's hometown, Trollhattan with ten stops visiting different cities during a twelve day tour finally reaching it's origins once again.

We where extremely lucky with the weather. This summer has been the rainiest one in hundreds of years so the fact that we did not have to cancel one stop was a success, just that.

Every were we went happy faces met us and everyone seemed pleased to se that something different was happening in their town. The Sweet and Analog riders got to skate together with the locals at every spot and the atmosphere was mellow and fun at each stop.

After each session there were highest ollie and best trick challenges where everyone was invited to skate and try there best for a chance to win both great honour and nice prizes.

Besides being a fun tour meeting a lot of skaters in different cities, it was also a really productive one with great tricks filmed and shot in the streets before and after all off the skatepark stops.

Later on this fall there will be a full tour story in Swedish skate mag, Giftorm and the tricks filmed will end up in the new Sweet video premiering spring 08. This video will hopefully be available through Kingpin and it will feature the entire Sweet team and their friends on locations throughout Europe.

Big thanks to Analog and Sweet Skateboards for making this tour reality and thanks to everyone who came out to each spot to skate and enjoy the very few Swedish summer days together with us.

THE SWEET OLLIEPOP TOUR 2007

Analog presents the Sweet Olliepop tour 2007

Sweet skateboards team up with Analog clothing for a summer tour through Sweden. The tour is set to start the 11th of July with a following 10 days of sessions, competitions and great skating. At each stop there will be sessions with the team where they will skate together with the locals, giving them a chance to take part and skate with the riders in a more relaxed and fun way, instead of just being onlookers. After the sessions there will be highest ollie and best trick challenges where everyone is welcome to enter to see if they can go for the win.

There will be loads of prizes for the ones who compete and a lot of giveaways, product tosses and sticker rains for everyone who visit the events.

So if you are in the area don't miss out on this years greatest tour with the best atmosphere, greatest skating and hopefully beautiful Swedish weather at it's best.

The French National Bowl contest takes place this weekend on Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st at the Annecy bowl.

The creme de la creme of French skateboarding is expected to show up and rock the bowl. So don't miss it!

ANALOG CLOTHING SIGNS FOUR NEW SKATERS TO TEAM

Irvine, Calif. (May 30, 2007) Analog Clothing today announced that Arto Saari, Omar Salazar, Dylan Rieder and Stefan Janoski have signed on as the newest additions to the company's skate team. The announcement is the latest in a series of changes that the company has undergone, including the addition of Mark Oblow as Creative Director for Skate and Mo Torres as Global Marketing Director, to ensure the success of its skate team and its increased dedication to skateboarding.

"Analog is really excited about adding Arto, Omar, Dylan and Stefan to a really talented team of athletes," says Jerry Lund, General Manager for Analog. "And with Oblow and Mo now heading up our marketing group, we have the talent to really support the athletes and the sport."

The new crew will join longtime Analog mainstays like Brian Sumner and Jon Goemann to round out one of the strongest clothing brand teams in skateboarding. Arto, in addition to being Thrasher's Skater of the Year (2001), is regularly seen along with Omar and Stefan in Transworld's Exposure Meter. And Dylan was recently named Rookie of the Year by The Skateboard Mag. Upcoming plans for the year include global tours, video productions, as well as events and contests.

"This is a new book, not just turning a new leaf, it's a whole new book," says Arto.

"We are all excited to be together again and working as a productive and prosperous team," says Mo Torres, Global Marketing Director for Analog.
